In short
- The game has no accounts. You don't give us your name or email to play, and your progress stays on your device.
- The game shows ads from Google AdMob. Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent first, and you can change your choice at any time.
- We use Google Analytics for Firebase to learn how the game is played, for example which levels are too hard.
- If you allow notifications, the game reminds you about the daily puzzle. The reminders are scheduled on your device, and nothing about them is sent to us.
- We don't sell your personal information.
Who we are
Paw Path ("the game", "we", "us") is a puzzle game for iPhone, iPad and Android, made by an independent developer. This policy explains what information the game and this website (pawpath-75304.web.app) collect, why, and the choices you have.
For questions or requests about your data, email vodinhtai0@gmail.com.
Information we collect
On your device
The game saves your progress and settings on your device: the level you're on, your hints and when the next free one comes, your daily puzzle streak, and your settings (such as sound, vibration and theme). This isn't sent to us. Your device's own backup (iCloud, or Google on Android) may include it, depending on your backup settings.
Advertising
The game shows ads through Google AdMob. To show and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google's software in the game may collect your device's advertising ID, your IP address, information about your device and the app, and how you interact with ads. See Advertising and your choices.
Usage statistics
The game uses Google Analytics for Firebase. It records when you install and open the game and how long you play; the levels and daily puzzles you start and finish, with the time taken and the hints and undos used; when you use a hint and where it came from (free, from an ad or bought); when a streak ends; the ads you see and the revenue AdMob reports for them; and your purchases.
Along with these, it sends the game's installation ID (a random identifier for this installation of the game), your device's advertising ID (on iPhone and iPad, only if you allow tracking), your device model, operating system and language, the game's version, and your approximate location (country or city), which Google works out from your IP address. The game doesn't know your name or email, so these statistics aren't linked to them.
Purchases
Payments are handled by Apple (App Store) and Google (Google Play). We never see your card or payment details. The game only learns which item you bought, such as Remove Ads or a hint pack, so it can give it to you.
Notifications
On iPhone, iPad and Android 13 or later, the game asks once whether it may send you notifications, after you finish your first level. On older Android versions, notifications are on unless you turn them off. The reminders (for example, when a new daily puzzle is ready, when your streak is about to end, or after a few days away) are scheduled by the game on your device. No notification data is sent to us or to any server.
You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings (iPhone and iPad: Settings → Notifications → Paw Path; Android: Settings → Apps → Paw Path → Notifications).
Emails to us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write or attach.
This website
This website doesn't use cookies or analytics. It remembers the language you pick in your browser's local storage. Firebase Hosting, which serves the website, processes your IP address to deliver the pages and keep the service secure.
What we don't collect
The game has no accounts or sign-in, doesn't use crash-reporting tools, and doesn't use your device's location services (GPS), contacts, camera, microphone or photos.
How we use your information
- To save your progress and settings on your device.
- To deliver and restore your purchases.
- To show ads, which keep the game free. Where the law requires it, ads are only personalized with your consent.
- To understand how the game is played, such as which levels are too hard and whether players come back, and to measure the ads we run for the game.
- To send you reminders, if notifications are on.
- To answer your emails.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, we rely on these legal bases: providing the game and your purchases to you (our contract with you), your consent (personalized ads, notifications, and using usage statistics for advertising), and our legitimate interests (understanding how the game is played, security, and answering your emails).
Advertising and your choices
- Consent: in the European Economic Area, the UK, Switzerland and other places where it is required, the game asks for your consent before showing personalized ads. Google Analytics follows the same choice. You can change your choice at any time in the game's Settings.
- iPhone and iPad: your advertising ID is only shared if you allow the game to track you. You can change this in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Android: you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings (usually Settings → Privacy → Ads, or Settings → Google → Ads).
- Remove Ads: buying Remove Ads turns off banner and full-screen ads. Ads you choose to watch for an extra hint stay available.

Where your data is processed
Your progress and settings stay on your device. Google's services (AdMob, Firebase and Gmail) may process data in many countries. Google protects data sent abroad with safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
- On your device: until you delete the game or clear its data.
- Usage statistics: Google Analytics deletes the details tied to the game's installation ID or advertising ID after 2 months. Only totals that don't identify you are kept longer.
- Advertising data: kept by Google under its own policies.
- Purchase records: kept by Apple or Google, so you can restore Remove Ads later.
- Emails: as long as needed to help you and handle any follow-up, then deleted.
Deleting your data
The game has no account to delete. To erase your progress and settings, delete the game from your device (on Android you can also clear its data in Settings → Apps → Paw Path → Storage). To stop new ads and statistics from being linked to earlier ones, reset your advertising ID (see Advertising and your choices).
To ask us to delete your emails or anything else we hold, email vodinhtai0@gmail.com.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or get a copy of your personal information, to object to or limit how we use it, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To make a request, email vodinhtai0@gmail.com. We'll reply within 30 days. Because the game has no accounts, we may not be able to find data that isn't linked to your email address. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Paw Path is suitable for players of all ages, but it is made for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Security
Data sent by the game and this website travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Your progress on your device is protected by your device's own security, such as its screen lock. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we'll also give notice in the game or on this page before they apply.
